Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the surface mount magnetic catch for your RV cabinets. This will replace the magnetic catch in your RV cabinet. It is going to work with any style of cabinet as it does install on the inside of the cabinet door. So it's going to help make sure that those cabinets are securely closed so you don't have to worry about them opening and shutting while you're traveling, making a lot of noise and potentially allowing the contents of the cabinet to fall out.
This is going to keep that cabinet door nice and securely closed. It does come with both a 90 degree angle bracket and a flat bracket. So whichever kind works for your setup, if you need one that's installed on the frame like so, this will then connect when you close the door and it does have a good grip on it.So it will take a little bit of pressure to pull that off, same with this if you just have it mounted onto the surface so that when it closes it will snap on and again it takes a little bit of prying, pulling on the door to get that to open back up. So it will do a good job of keeping that door closed for you. This is a surface mount.
So either way, just going to have to screw your screw into the provided hole of each mounting bracket. They do include screws for each piece to get those installed. So if you're using this one, obviously you won't need these and vice versa if you use those. But they do include enough hardware for all of them and this is going to come with a limited lifetime warranty from JR Products. So if you do have any problems with it, you can give them a call.
They can help you out. But I don't think you're going to have any problems.This is a nice strong magnet and once you get it installed on your door, I think it's going to do a good job of keeping that cabinet closed.
